2026 Cycle Requirements & Deadlines are Subject to Change. Please Check the Website for Updates.

Administrative Exceptions

Applicants who are granted an Administrative Exception may meet a supporting document requirement via alternative means.

Applicants may explain why they cannot meet a supporting document requirement by requesting an Administrative Exception (AE).

AE requests are submitted via the ‘Administrative Exception’ tab within the AIMG Program application portal. To access the AIMG Program application portal, click the ‘Apply’ button at the top right of the home page.

Please note that AE requests will not be accepted after the AE request window is closed. The AE request window closes prior to the online application Profile being locked. This allows for AE request processing which may impact how requirements are met.

NOTE: Do not use this process for English Language Proficiency (ELP) testing exemptions. Instead, visit our website and click the survey link provided for that process.

NOTE: Submitting an Administrative Exception request does not alter the Important Dates and Deadlines to which all applicants must adhere, unless an AE is granted for an alternative deadline.

NOTE: Information provided as part of the AE request process does not become part of the applicant’s AIMG Program application.
